Laboratory Medicine
The department of Laboratory Medicine comprising of clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunoassay, urine analysis etc is headed by Dr. Rajan Thakur, Consultant Biochemist ,Clinical Scientist who is Ph.D in medical (Biochemistry)and member of AACC,IFCC,ACBI and fellow of institute of Biomedical Scientist(London,UK) experience of more than 2 decades. Lab technicians, few of whom having experience of decade are trained as phlebotomists and medical technologists. All the equipments of clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation etc. are fully automated from leading diagnostics companies of world like Beckman Coulter (UK), Roche (Switzerland), Sysmex (Japan), Erba Mannheim(Germany). Internal Quality Control from Biorad (USA), Roche (Switzerland) and External Quality control from Randox(UK), CMC (ACBI), Vellore & AIIMS (hematology EQAS) is a daily phenomena. The laboratory has been providing results of excellent category. The coefficient of variation of the result has been constantly maintained at less than 3% by running controls & calibrators at regular intervals.
The laboratory has been constantly updating and upgrading the knowledge by participating in National and State level conferences with the sole aim of providing excellent laboratory diagnosis comparable to the best.
